NNLM logo The University of Kansas Medical Center Library is proud to provide health information services to the people of Kansas as an integral part of the MidContinental Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM). Resource Libraries throughout the country provide outreach services to Network Members, health professionals, and the public on behalf of the National Library of Medicine. As your resource library, we provide training and information from the National Library of Medicine. These resources include the world’s largest medical database, PubMed, consumer health information through MedlinePlus, and dozens of other databases critical to biomedical research and health information.

We encourage Kansas citizens to utilize MedlinePlus for their consumer health information. Also contact your local library or Dykes Library for any additional healthcare information you need.

We encourage Kansas Libraries who want to become involved in providing health information for their communities to become a Network Member of the NN/LM. Membership is free and provides a network of librarians from over 5000 public, academic, medical, and special libraries. Please contact one of our Kansas representatives to the MidContinental Region of the NN/LM for more information on becoming a Network Member, or to set up training or outreach activities.
