Dykes Library, located on the University of Kansas Medical Center campus in Kansas City, Kansas, is one of the most complete medical libraries in the midwest.
The Library is open to the public for those seeking health information or conducting medical research. Borrowing privileges are available to all faculty, staff and students of the KU Medical Center. Non-KU Medical Center individuals may purchase a membership for the Library, which will allow you to borrow library materials and use the Library's licensed databases (such as MEDLINE) within the Library.
The Library is on the north side of 39th Avenue between Rainbow Boulevard and State Line Road. Here's a campus map that shows the location of Dykes Library in relation to the rest of the KUMC campus. Directions to the library may be found below.

Small storage lockers are available for use. Insert two quarters into the slot on the inside of the door. Close the door and remove the key. When you are finished, replace the key and the two quarters are returned.
A wall phone is available in the ground floor lounge/vending area. Local calls are allowed from this phone- dial "9" first and then the number. "In House" calls may be made by dialing 8+ your extension or 5+ your extension.
Please observe the Cell Phone Use Policy when using your cellular phone at the library.
Study rooms and group study rooms at the library may be reserved by individuals with current KUMC affiliation.
Self-Service printing with GoPrint is now available from PCs in the Library and Student Center. This new system uses accounts rather than copy cards. All students now have accounts that are based on Groupwise/Novell usernames and passwords.
You can add funds to your GoPrint account at the Public Services Desk of the Library. Funds can be added with cash, check, Master Card or Visa.
Access your account to see your balance and print job history.
You must now use your GoPrint account to make copies. The charges will come directly out of your account. Just enter your username and PIN using the keyboard. (For students, faculty and staff, this is your GroupWise username and password.) When you are done copying, hit the CLR button on the GoPrint box key pad. You will be logged off the system and given your account balance.
