KUMC Faculty, Staff, Students:
- Materials borrowed for KUMC Faculty, Staff and Students must be used for KUMC scholarly and educational purposes.
- If you want an item only if we can borrow it for free, select "For Free Only-KUMC Only" from the payment methods pull-down window. We will submit these requests to Kansas Regents Institutions. If the item cannot be obtained for you for free, you will be notified by email.
- If you would like us to borrow items for your personal use, select "For Free Only-KUMC Only" from the payment methods pull-down window. We will try to locate public libraries in the area who will loan us these items at no fee. If the item cannot be obtained for you for free, you will be notified by email.

Additional Fee Information
Long Articles:
An additional fee will be charged for articles over 50 pages long provided from our collection. The fee will be half of the cost for the first 50 pages.
Clinical Emergency Service
The National Library of Medicine provides a clinical emergency service for health care providers delivering direct patient care under emergency circumstances. If the journal is available at NLM they will fill these requests within 2 hours of receipt during the hours they are open.
Only those requests needed for emergency patient care qualify for this service. Charges are the same as the Rush: 2-3 Business Day fees on our
List of Charges.
