Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature
A comprehensive and authoritative index to current periodical literature for nurses,
allied health professionals and others interested in health care issues. Approximately 640
nursing, allied health, and health related journals are regularly reviewed and indexed for
inclusion. Five bimonthly issues and one cumulative bound volume per year. Formerly titled
Cumulative Index to Nursing Literature.

Hospital and Health Administration Index
A primary guide to English language literature on the "organization and
administration of hospitals and other health care providers, the financing and delivery of
health care, the development and implementation of health policy and reform, and health
planning and research". The index is produced cooperatively by the American Hospital
Association and the National Library of Medicine. It is published three times a year; the
third issue is the annual cumulation.

This index guides you to English language literature on hospital and health facility
administration, including multi-institutional systems, health planning, and administrative
aspects of health care delivery. Produced cooperatively by the American Hospital

Index Medicus
A bibliographic listing of references to articles from approximately 3100 biomedical
journals worldwide. The National Library of Medicine indexes literature that has been
judged most useful to Index Medicus users by a group of distinguished physicians, medical
editors, and medical librarians. Materials selected for inclusion are indexed by highly
trained literature analysts. Citations are published only under subjects appearing in MeSH
(Medical Subject Headings). Monthly issues consist of two volumes: Part 1 Subject A-P and
Part 2 Subject Q-Z, Authors, and Bibliography of Medical Reviews. The cumulated contents
of the twelve monthly issues comprise the annual Cumulated Index Medicus.

This index is available electronically using the MEDLINE database. MEDLINE
provides citations and abstracts, if available, to articles from approximately 3400
journals worldwide. MEDLINE is available for use by members of the KUMC community or Dykes

More than 270 nursing journals received from all over the world are indexed, as well as
all nursing articles in the 2,700 allied health and biomedical journals indexed for Index
Medicus. Appendices include nursing books published and a list of publications of
organizations and agencies. Published quarterly in cooperation with the National Library
of Medicine. Cumulated annually.
