GSC - October 29, 2004

1. Are you eliminating books?
No, just routine natural reduction especially with new editions in the reference area. We continue to add monograph (book) titles. Each of the schools has both a librarian liaison as well as faculty and some student representation. Here is the list of Library Committee contacts:

2. There was a discussion of the furniture for the library renovation. Specifically it was noted that at this time there is funding only for the testing center. All other library furniture will be existing tables, chairs, carrels.

3. Where will the email kiosks be placed?
6 will be located east of the ERC; 2 will be located in SON (study area on ground floor). GroupWise webmail and KUMC browser will be on the computers.

4. GSC representatives present were advised of the “Give feedback on student technology” section of the library website at http://library.kumc.edu/studenttech/index.html At this site students can respond to student technology issues, ask questions that will be answered and start a threaded discussion on one of several areas including: kiosks, printing, etc.
